Cable Plow
Cable Plow
A cable plow places flexible pipe or cable underground without excavating a trench. Typically a blade is pulled behind a vehicle to create a pathway for depositing the pipe underground as it is spooled off of a supply reel feeding back to the blade. The cable plow vehicle is not always able to proceed under its own power, either because of poor surface conditions such as swampy areas, or due to buried obstables. A pull tractor with winch ahead of the plow provides the traction and pulling power to keep the cable plow moving forward in all conditions.
