Lantec Accord Launches New Hydraulic Winch Thrust

Lantec Model 750 Hydraulic Planetary Winch

The Allied winch has always been a leader in the field of mechanically driven, hydraulically controlled winches. But a separate category of winches is driven through a hydraulic or electric motor. Allied will enter the field of hydraulically powered winches by licensing certain technologies of Lantec Corporation, located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.

Allied has acquired the rights to build the standard line of hydraulic winches, which includes the models 200, 540 and 750 winches, with line pull capacity ranging from 14,000 lbs. to 136,000 lbs. The agreement also includes planetary gear drive models D200, D540 and D750.

Lantec is known for its modular planetary gear design. This allows great flexibility in configuring a winch for a specific design requirement with minimal engineering design.

The addition of hydraulic winches will open up new markets such as marine, offshore, oil and gas, and industrial applications. We also expect to learn of new opportunities from our existing base of crawler tractor dealers.

We plan to be in full production of the new hydraulic winch by mid year.
