Allied Systems Provides Immediate Service and Solution for Liftech, Silgan

On Monday, October 8th, Silgan, a worldwide supplier of metal and plastic containers, had an incident that caused a cartridge on the attachment valve of their LDS55 single double pallet handler to break off. Late Monday, they informed their dealer, Liftech Equipment Company, voicing their concerns and inquiring about a possible solution.

Liftech notified the Allied Systems Service Department, which immediately informed the engineering department. After discussing the issue on Tuesday morning, engineering had a solution designed that afternoon. Engineering then released the drawings on Thursday and Liftech was notified of the design to add a protective plate in front of the valve for increased protection of the cartridge, with minimal impact on operator visibility. Allied agreed to supply three guard plates at no cost and Liftech agreed to do the install. This immediate action by both the service and engineering departments resulted in a solution in just three days. The Liftech service manager, pleased with the prompt service and solution, expressed his thanks:

"I would like to thank you for your outstanding customer service. It is so nice to have a vendor that turns any problem into a solution without hesitation. Our customer is very pleased with our timely response to his concerns and we certainly owe a big thanks to you and your organization. Please send the guards to the Rochester location and we will get them welded on. Thanks."
