We currently have two job openings: Manufacturing Engineer, Drafter/Technical Illustrator,

Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to document and evaluate current processes and then identify and execute solutions for improvement in productivity, cost and quality. Experience working in all areas of manufacturing including machining (CNC and Manual), fabrication and/or assembly is desired. Principle job duties include:

• Prepare and maintain documentation of existing and modified manufacturing processes.
• Develop tooling for new processes and evaluate existing tooling.
• Provide manufacturing engineering support to other departments as required.
• Identify causes of manufacturing problems and assist in resolving such problems.
• Evaluate capital equipment investments and justify them
• Work with design engineering group to improve designs for manufacturability
• Design and prepare drawings of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment for improvement productivity, quality and cost reduction.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and 3-7 years experience.

Internships: Allied Systems Company has a paid internship program and will also consider candidates currently earning an engineering degree.

Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced work environment. Must also be willing to work extra hours.

Drafter/Technical Illustrator

Allied Systems Company, a manufacturer of heavy equipment located in the Tualatin/Sherwood area, has an immediate career opportunity for a TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATOR. Job duties will consist of editing and revising service, parts, and operations manuals using engineering specifications, prints, parts lists and existing content/artwork for various manufactured product lines.

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Experience with computer generated graphics using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, & Corel Draw.
• Desktop publishing skills with Adobe PageMaker and InDesign.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft software.
• Must be skilled in drafting and technical illustrating and be adept at electronic layout and various reprographics methods.

A four-year BA/BS degree in technical illustration and writing preferred. 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment helpful.
